Terms for using First Money Gold’s website

Last updated 2 November 2026. Using firstmoneygold.com means you accept these terms. A loan or a sale is a separate agreement made at the branch, on the pawn ticket or purchase receipt.

Quotes on this website are estimates

Gold rates, “loan you get per gram”, and calculator results are estimates from the rate stored for that day. They are not an offer of a loan and not a promise of a purchase price. The amount changes if the bullion rate moves, and it changes again after we weigh your item and test its purity. Stones, springs, lacquer, and non-gold parts are excluded. You can walk away after the test.

Gold loans

A loan is given only at a branch, after identity checks and a purity test, and only if that branch accepts the pledge. Interest, tenure, and auction rules are printed on the pawn ticket and follow the Tamil Nadu Pawn Brokers Act, 1943, and the other laws that apply to that branch. Missing a due date can lead to notice and, if the gold is not redeemed, a public auction as the Act allows. Partial release, foreclosure, and takeover from another lender are available only when the branch confirms them in writing.

Selling gold to us

A purchase is complete when you accept the tested value and we issue a receipt. Until then, the gold remains yours. We buy gold metal. We do not pay making charges or stone value as if they were gold. If an item is plated, hollow, or not the purity it appears to be, the payout follows the test result.

Marketplace listings

The buy-and-sell board lets people post gold they want to sell or buy. You must describe your own item honestly and you must be allowed to sell it. A listing can stay on the public board for up to 45 days and may be removed earlier if it is duplicate, misleading, or unrelated to gold. First Money Gold is not the seller or the buyer on a private listing unless a branch receipt says we are. Meeting another user is at your own risk. Prefer a branch counter when you want the metal tested before money changes hands.

Your use of the site

  • Do not post another person’s phone number, identity proof, or gold as if it were yours.
  • Do not scrape, overload, or attempt to break the site or the enquiry form.
  • Rates, branch text, and photographs on the site belong to First Money Gold. You may share a link. You may not copy the pages into another business’s site.
  • Customer portal logins are for the account holder only.

Advertising

Public pages may show third-party ads, including Google AdSense. An ad is not our recommendation, and the advertiser is responsible for the offer in the ad. We do not place ads on staff screens or on the customer login.

Liability

The website is provided as a guide to our branches and rates. We are not liable for a decision you make from a calculator figure before the gold is tested, for a third-party ad, or for a meeting you arrange privately from a marketplace listing. Branch liability for a pledge or a purchase is the liability written on that ticket or receipt, and the liability set by Indian law.

Law

These website terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, have jurisdiction over disputes about the website. Disputes about a pledge follow the branch named on the pawn ticket. Questions: contact page.
